You won’t find a more unlikely career path leading to radio than the Shot Doctor’s . After graduating from the University of South Florida in 1977, the Valley Stream, New York native soon concluded that his degree was “worthless.” He took a job stocking shelves in a Central Florida grocery store. Twenty years later, still stocking shelves, he began calling 740 The Team to give the daily store specials. His daily phone-ins became a regular on-air bit, and before long, he was on the air full-time, giving golf tips.

 

The Shot Doctor guarantees his free golf lessons, and feels that all golf lessons should be free, for “the simple love of the game.” Describing his career philosophy, the Shot Doctor explains, “I just want to give back to the game of golf everything that the game of golf has given me.”
