DAN SILEO COACH & COMPANY THE FINISH LINE

MOTORCYCLE RIDERS RADIO NETWORK

The Big Guy with NASCAR driver Kyle Petty

Marty Francis – Executive Producer

Marty Francis may not have been born in Florida, but he is definitely a native Floridian, having spent only his first seven years in the Boston area.  Those of you who are familiar with central Florida way back when, know that the roads were built for motorcycles and Marty started riding them while still in school.  His first bike was a Yamaha 125cc, borrowed from a close friend and that started his love affair with the machine.  Next, he graduated to a 350cc, and it kept growing from there.

His love for the sport of racing was also growing, living and growing up in the shadow of Daytona the legendary track for NASCAR.  He attended the races every chance he got.

Motorcycle Riders Radio Network began in September of 2001 with The Big Guy (Marty) at the helm on 740 The TeamOrlandos Sports Leader.  The show airs every Sunday morning from 8:00-9:30 a.m.

Never forgetting the other side of his love for motor sports, he decided to develop a show dedicated to Racing NASCAR and Formula Oneanything auto related will be fair game as topics for the show, now known as Racing Radio.  Rather than host, he has opted to Executive Produce the show allowing others to deal with the on-air talent.  Racing Radio now airs from 9:30-11:00 a.m. every Sunday on 740 The Team.

While at Car and Driver, he started Car and Driver Television, which airs weekends on TNN.  He developed and helped produce segments, and was featured on the show more frequently than any other employee, and was the liaison between the Nashville-based production crew and the publication.  He also helped produce an hour-long special that aired on the Speedvision cable network.  He wrote a weekly motorsports column for speedvision.com and racingone.com, and contributes regularly to AutoWeek and Speedway Illustrated magazines.

Steven has made multiple appearances on television shows, including the Today Show and Good Morning, America.  He appeared frequently on television as radio stations in Dallas and Detroit as an automobile commentator, and in Detroit, did a five-day-a-week morning commentary on automobile racing, a particular area of expertise, on the citys top-rated country music station.  He has also done commentaries for NPRs Morning Edition.
